David has been a podcast DJ for eight years playing old school music on various outlets.  He can be heard on The Sound of Soul on Friday at 6 p.m. and Sunday at 6:30 p.m.

David is the son of Leon Bailey who was one of Chicago’s top Jazz radio DJs during the 60’s 70’s & 80’s with “The Lee Bailey Show: Jazz for the Connoisseurs” at WXFM 106 FM (a station of 50,000 watts) and also at WHPK 88.5FM where David would often sit in with him on his Saturday mornings shows until his dad’s retirement from the airwaves in 2012.

David has always enjoyed music and has a strong desire for keeping classic R&B, Soul, Blues and Jazz relevant in today’s music world.
